In Stoupa there is the old coal mine of Pastrabas, where Alexis Zorbas, also known as the Nikos Kazantzakis book, worked as a supervisor. The great writer lived a lot of time and wrote a large part of his work in Stoupa, inspired by his friend, Alexis Zorbas.Three scenic coves are formed in Stoupa with crystal clear waters, causing the lovers of the liquid element.
