
Stoupa
Stoupa is a seaside village in the Messinian part of Mani, known for its traditional stone houses, its olive groves, its crystal clear waters and its sandy beaches. The village has two main beaches: Stoupa beach and Kalogria beach.
Stoupa beach is organised with golden sand, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Kalogria beach is famous as the place where Nikos Kazantzakis and Alexis Zorbas lived in 1917-1918, where Nikos Kazantzakis wrote the fascinating novel ''Life and State of Alexis Zorbas''.
Stoupa is a lively place with plenty of cafés, restaurants, tavernas, bars and shops which satisfy all tastes.
Apart from swimming and sunbathing, Stoupa offers visitors a wide range of activities and sports to enjoy such as hiking, snorkelling, kayaking, etc.
